Profitability and liquidity ratios
A ratio only means something against a benchmark: last year, a competitor, or the industry. Paper 2 rewards the comparison, not the arithmetic. Memorise the formula; the exam gives no hint.

I teach IB Business Management in Mexico City, SL and HL. I built this site because what I wanted to hand my students did not exist in one place: short lessons on the current guide, questions that explain why the wrong answer was tempting, and practice papers that look like the real thing without being past papers. Everything here is what I use with my own groups. If you find a mistake or something is missing, write to me and I will fix it.

A lesson takes eight to twelve minutes and ends in a quiz. When you miss a question you see why the distractor was tempting. The toolkit tools come with a case to apply them on, because Paper 2 will not ask you to define SWOT; it will ask you to use it.

Motivation and demotivation
Herzberg separated hygiene factors from motivators. Fixing pay stops dissatisfaction; it does not create motivation. The exam trap: treating salary as a motivator.
